Injury rehabilitation combines clinical assessment, symptom management, manual treatments and progressive loading so you can continue training while rebuilding strength, movement and confidence. The plan is matched to your injury, training history, and what you want to get back to doing.
Injury rehabilitation for people who want to return stronger
Recovering from injury is not only about reducing pain. It is about restoring the strength, tolerance and confidence required for daily life, gym training, running or sport. Your rehabilitation plan gives you clear progressions, measurable milestones and practical guidance about what to continue, what to modify and when to advance.
Because Body Clinic integrates physiotherapy and personal training, rehabilitation can progress from early symptom management into structured strength and conditioning without handing you between disconnected services. Hands-on treatment is regularly used, but the long-term focus is building capacity and reducing repeated flare-ups.

How injury rehabilitation progresses
Exercise is central to rehabilitation for many musculoskeletal problems. Your plan may include graded strength, mobility where limited, tendon loading, aerobic work, return-to-running or return-to-sport progressions, and modification of work or gym tasks.
Manual therapy, soft-tissue techniques or joint mobilizations are regularly used to reduce symptoms, improve movement tolerance and open the door to better exercise loading. Our goal is to integrate rehabilitation into your existing training so that you maintain as much useful capacity as possible.
Do you need a scan?
Not every painful joint or muscle requires imaging. Scans are most useful when the result is likely to change management, after substantial trauma, when serious pathology is suspected or when recovery is not following the expected course. Imaging findings should be interpreted with your history and function because structural changes can also exist in people without symptoms.
When to seek urgent medical care
Seek prompt medical care for major trauma, suspected fracture or dislocation, rapidly progressive weakness or numbness, loss of bladder or bowel control, chest pain, difficulty breathing, fever with a hot swollen joint, unexplained severe night pain, or rapidly worsening symptoms. If you are unsure whether physiotherapy is the appropriate starting point, contact the clinic and we can advise whether medical review should come first.

Frequently asked questions
Can I keep exercising while I am injured?
Often, yes. The aim is usually to modify the aggravating dose while preserving exercise that is safe and useful. The exact advice depends on the diagnosis, severity and way your symptoms respond.
Do I need a GP referral?
A GP referral is not required for a private physiotherapy consultation.
Will the first session include treatment?
Yes. The first priority is a thorough assessment and explanation. Treatment or an initial rehabilitation plan is usually commenced in the same consultation. We want our clients leaving with a thorough understanding of what is causing their symptoms and a clear plan for resolution.
Can you help after surgery?
Yes. Post-operative rehabilitation is planned around the surgical procedure, healing timeframes, surgeon guidance and your functional goals. Bring any operation report or rehabilitation protocol you have been given.
Can physiotherapy be combined with personal training?
Yes. This is one of the main advantages of the Body Clinic model. Rehabilitation and broader strength, body-composition or fitness goals can be coordinated rather than managed as competing programs.
